In the Tribal Department, functioning is being done on the basis of E-Governance system. Based on this system, computers are utilized form almost the daily functions. In the headquarters of Tribal Department, there are 12 computers. At district level, the works related with Tribal plannings are being conducted by District Social Welfare Officer and in Jay Prakash Narayan Sarvoday Vidyalay same work is being discharged by Superintendent (Male/Female). In these offices, progress of financial/physical targets under budget allocation, is being fed in the computers and these are being supervised too. Training for computer operation is also being provided to the employees and officers of Directorate Tribal development, Headquarters and of District level. Presently almost schemes of the Directorate are available online. Objective of the department is successful implementation and supervision of all the schemes by using the latest techniques of Information Technology and establishing the hundred percent e-governance patterns within the department.

Simultaneously, a changed decentralized process has also been adopted to ensure transparency in the schemes being run by the department as well as in distribution of scholarship. Scholarship is directly being deposited in the bank accounts of students studying in class 9, 10 and above under a computerized system through PFMS pattern. Right from education session 2012-13, scholarship (including maintenance allowance and fee re-imbursement) to the eligible students of scheduled tribes has been managed to transfer directly in their bank accounts by the state government, based on the guide lines issued by Govt of India. For detailed guide lines, Manual for Uttar Pradesh Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Post Matric Scholarship, 2012 has been published, whose sixth amendment has been released in 2017-18. According to the manual, directions have been issued to ensure transparency for registration of institutions and syllabus in the Master Data Base, to apply for scholarship and fee re-imbursement by the concerned student, to submit the recommendations by heads of the educational institutions to concerned district/regional officers of education department, to forward the recommendations, received from heads of educational institutions, by concerned officers of education department before the "Scholarship Sanction Committee", to communicate with District Information Technology Officer alongwith the sanction order of "Scholarship Sanction Committee", to transfer the scholarship/reimbursement amount in the bank account of the concerned student (s) and to communicate to NIC Lucknow to lock the software/website for the first phase of scholarship/reimbursement by determining a time limit.
